FAQ
Are Catadora and Glimbow the only ship allowed in this zine?
Our main focus in this zine is Catadora and Glimbow; however, other ships are allowed in the zine as background characters.
Is this zine for-profit or charity?
We will be making this for profit and for charity zine. It will be an equal split between contributors/mod and our charity. Proceeds will also be used for contributor copies and contributor bundles.
Who is the charity you will be donating to?
This is to be determined, by our contributors.
How will the contributors be compensated?
If sales goals are reached, we will be giving each contributor a full bundle. All contributors will receive a digital version regardless of sales.
How many artists and writers are you looking for?
We will be looking for 20 artists, 5 merch artists, and 4 writers. These are preliminary estimates and may be subject to change depending on the interest in this project.
Do I have to create a new and original artwork or fanfiction for the zine? Or can I use art or writing that I have already made?
All works must be new and created exclusively for the zine. We will allow contributors to post their full work four months after the final order has been shipped out.
Can I create traditional art for this project?
Yes, we would love to feature traditional art and would love to see traditional art submitted to our applications. But, we expect traditional art to meet our specifications (e.g. scanned in at a 300dpi).
Are we allowed to do NSFW works?
No. This is a SFW zine, and we will not allow any NSFW content in this zine.
Will you be assigning us the ships?
Yes, we will be giving assignments to our writers and artists to equally distribute the content for the zine between both Catradora and Glimbow This is to ensure that both ships are represented equally in the zine. Artists will be assigned based on their interest. In our applications, you will be given the option of indicating whether you want to create art for Catradora, Glimbow, or a double wedding !
Where is the zine and merch being sent from?
It will ship from Canada.
If accepted, do I need to join the discord or can I email my updates.
We do require all accepted contributors to join the discord as it will be our main form of communication.
Who are the Mods? (more information in MODS section)
We are team ROD. We have been working together as a mod group since late 2019 with a few projects done together. This is our biggest passion project to date!

Guidelines for Applications:
For Artists:
✧You will be asked to submit three works. You can link posts from your social media accounts into your application.
✧Links MUST work or the application will be disqualified without notice.
✧Applications must have at least one She Ra piece included. The piece does not have to be focused on Catradora or Glimbow. We just want to see your style with the She Ra characters.
✧At least one art piece must be fully rendered with background as well as be in the style you plan to use for the zine. Merch artists must have art sample that is fully rendered.
✧Traditional art is allowed.
✧We will be judging art based on anatomy, coloring, lighting, etc. Keep in mind when submitting, we want to see what you plan to create. So please ensure that you upload works with the style you will most likely use for the zine.
For Writers:
✧You will be asked to submit three pieces, highly recommended that they are She Ra themed. It does not have to be ship based.
✧Make sure to link us to your Ao3, Tumblr, Fanfic.com, drive, etc, whatever accounts you use.
✧Links MUST work or the application will be disqualified without notice.
✧The submitted pieces do not have to be from a completed fan fiction. It can be a single chapter from an uncompleted, or larger, work.
✧Each writing sample you give us can just be a single chapter or one shot there is no word limit. The pieces can be AU themed.
✧We will be judging writing based on format (paragraph size, breaks, etc.) writing flow, grammar, characterization, etc. Please send pieces of work that best represent your current style of writing.

Work Proccess
It will be required that contributors join the Discord Server, since it’s going to be our primary form of communication. We will use it from check-ins and announcements, to everything in between.
Contributors will be given about 2 ½ months to finish their piece for the project. There will be three check-ins that are very close together, and a submission date.
Check In Schedules:
✧First Check-in: Nov 16th
Artists: Sketch is Done
Writers: General Summary
✧Second Check-in: Dec 7th
Artists: Lineart is done and Base Colours Done
Writers: 50% of Work is Done
✧Third Check-in: Dec 28th
Artists: Most of Rendering is Done, just final touch ups.
Writers: Mostly done, and ready for beta edits.
✧Final Submission: Jan 18th
Artists: All work done, saved as PSD file ready to submit.
Writers: Final copy is done and has been fully edited.
All check-ins will be submitted via Google forms that will be sent out prior to each check-in.
For extensions we will allow a five day maximum extension. If an extension is needed, a mod must be contacted prior to the check-in date.
Communication is key to us. If a contributor does not fill out the Google form or get in contact with us for an extension we will assume that they have dropped out and are no longer interested in the project. If a contributor wishes to drop out they must contact a mod so that pinch hitters can be contacted. As for pinch hitters, we will do our best to compromise with what they can do to ensure that the work is done in a timely manner without stress.

When it comes time to post up previews and post full pieces, contributors will be required to wait until they are given the go ahead. WIPs can be posted but only up to 50% and we ask that you tag our social media so that we can share the love!
